Summary of Key Data Practices
- No Activity Logging: We do not log or store browsing activity, destination websites, DNS query content, or transmitted data payloads.
- Android VpnService: Used strictly as a core functionality to encrypt and tunnel network traffic on Android devices.
- Local In-Memory Logging: Diagnostic event logs reside locally in temporary device RAM (up to 4,000 lines) and are not automatically uploaded to remote servers.
- No Background Analytics SDKs: Third-party tracking or crash-reporting SDKs (such as Sentry or Firebase Crashlytics) are not integrated in the app.
- Google Play Billing: Payment processing for optional tips and subscriptions is handled entirely by Google Play. We do not directly receive or store payment card details.
1. Introduction & Application Overview
AzadiTunnel is a Virtual Private Network (VPN) application developed and published by Debugsy Inc. ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). AzadiTunnel is designed to provide secure, encrypted network routing and connectivity control on supported platforms. The application is built upon open-source networking components, including the Psiphon tunnel engine core.
This Privacy Policy applies to your use of the AzadiTunnel Android application and related services operated under Debugsy Inc.
2. Core Functionality & Android VpnService Usage
AzadiTunnel utilizes the Android VpnService API as a core feature. The VpnService permission is required to create a system-level or app-level encrypted virtual network interface on your device.
Without VpnService, the app cannot route device internet traffic through encrypted tunnel protocols or implement network-level features such as per-app routing, local proxy relaying, or bypass lists.
3. Traffic Encryption & Supported Tunnel Protocols
All network traffic transmitted through AzadiTunnel is encrypted in transit between your device and the active tunnel gateway nodes. AzadiTunnel supports multiple obfuscated and secure transport protocols, including SSH, Obfuscated SSH (OSSH), QUIC, and TLS relays.
4. Browsing Activity, DNS Queries, & Traffic Content Policy
We maintain a strict policy regarding user online activities:
- We do not log browsing history, visited websites, or destination URLs.
- We do not inspect, store, or log the content of transmitted data payloads.
- We do not record DNS query content or destination IP addresses linked to user identities.
- We do not maintain connection logs containing user browsing histories.
5. IP Address & Network Diagnostic Handling
IP address processing in AzadiTunnel is limited to local functionality and transient connectivity checks:
- Local Network Address: The app may read your local Wi-Fi or device network IP address on-device to bind local HTTP/SOCKS proxy services (such as LAN proxy features) or perform self-tests.
- Public Reachability Checks: During connection diagnostics, the app executes local HTTP/DNS tests to verify outbound reachability and detect public egress IP status. These test results are logged only to the local in-memory event buffer.
- Server Edge Nodes: Server infrastructure nodes process transient IP connection handshakes strictly to establish and maintain active network sockets during your session.
6. Device & Application Diagnostics
AzadiTunnel maintains a local operational log buffer (`AzadiEventLogger`) stored in temporary device memory (RAM) up to a maximum of 4,000 lines.
Logged events include operational details such as connection state transitions, selected transport protocol names, app version name, build code, and local connectivity test statuses. Local diagnostic logs are not automatically transmitted to any server.
7. Crash Logs, Analytics SDKs, & Troubleshooting Reports
AzadiTunnel does not integrate third-party background analytics or crash-tracking SDKs (such as Firebase Analytics, Sentry, or Google Analytics).
If you experience a technical issue, you may choose to manually export or submit a diagnostic report for support troubleshooting. Exported debug reports automatically redact sensitive tokens, private keys, passwords, and authorization secrets prior to generation.
8. Purchases, Tips, & Google Play Billing
AzadiTunnel offers optional voluntary tips and support subscriptions via Google Play Billing (com.android.billingclient:billing-ktx).
All payment processing, credit card details, bank information, and billing validations are handled exclusively by Google Play. AzadiTunnel and Debugsy Inc. do not directly collect, process, or store full payment card numbers or raw billing credentials.
9. Third-Party Networking & Open-Source Components
AzadiTunnel incorporates open-source components, including the Psiphon tunnel core library (ca.psiphon:psiphontunnel). When establishing connections, network handshakes and server list discovery operate according to Psiphon protocol specifications or custom remote server list configurations supplied by the user or distribution package.
10. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, trade, or commercialize your personal information or network data. Data is disclosed only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: Payment transactions are transmitted to Google Play to fulfill user-initiated tip or subscription purchases.
- Legal Compliance: If required by compelling, enforceable legal process under applicable laws.
11. Data Retention & Clearing
Local in-memory event logs exist only in volatile RAM (up to 4,000 lines) and are cleared automatically when the application process ends or when cleared manually by the user within the app settings.
Support communications (such as emails or feedback submissions) are retained for the duration needed to resolve your inquiry and maintain customer service records.
12. Security Practices
We implement technical and organizational security measures to protect network transmissions and local app operation:
- Industry-standard cryptographic protocols for VPN tunnel transport.
- Automatic local redaction of passwords, tokens, and secret keys in log formatting.
- Utilization of official Google Play Billing sandboxing for purchase transactions.
13. User Rights & Data Requests
You have control over your local data and communications:
- Clear Local Logs: You can clear the local in-memory log buffer at any time in the app settings screen.
- Access & Deletion Requests: You may submit inquiries or request deletion of support correspondence by contacting us at our support email.
14. Children’s Privacy
AzadiTunnel is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or applicable legal age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.
15. International Data Processing
Encrypted VPN tunnel traffic may be routed through international gateway nodes depending on your selected egress region and network availability.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in legal, technical, or operational requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" revision date.
